We've been joking with each other lately about how just in the past few years we've really started to feel like almost everyone we meet is awesome. New neighbors that bring us fresh eggs every week, that carpenter who did the fence, the models we'd never met before, new passionate designers making important work, that wild tree-climbing arborist, all the farmers and their sweet babies we've been chatting with at the market. Folks who are real and honest, doing good things. People making place.
Folks we didn't expect to know each other know each other. That guy we got a good vibe from turns out to be our friend's landscaper and then he's at the seed swap and turns out to be a musician we had seen a few weeks ago at that event downtown.
Perhaps it's that the more our lives come into focus, the readier we are for these new, fruitful connections. Even without actively cultivating these relationships, our lives like river currents seem to be continually converging, gaining speed with goodwill as we tumble our way into the future. It feels a bit kismet, like confirmation that we're on the right track. See you soon.
