Single Origin Anamalai Mace
A sweeter, milder counterpart to the Anamalai nutmeg which this mace is harvested from (mace is the dried outer lacy covering of the nutmeg). Its complex flavor is rich, floral, and boasts notes of raw mango, fennel, papaya, and lemongrass.
Fully traceable, this mace is regeneratively grown by Harish Manoj Kumar & Karthikeyan Palaniswamy on their family estate at the base of the Western Ghats alongside their award-winning cacao. Highlighting the seasonality of spice farming, each batch is grown in small quantities and harvested at peak potency and freshness.
Use this single-origin Anamalai mace to add an irreplaceable depth to curries, spice blends, and slow cooked meats.
Committed to transparency, each jar comes labeled with its harvest date.
