Single Origin Kashmiri Saffron
Unbelievably flavorful, Diaspora's Kashmiri saffron tastes at once like honey, raisins, and almond, with the delicately sweet smell of hay in the summer rain. Its potent color can transform a mere glass of water into liquid gold. Seriously – you can smell this stuff before you even open the jar.
Fully traceable, this heirloom saffron is traditionally grown by Raqib Mushtaq on his family's 3.75 acre farm in the historic saffron district of Pampore, where they have been growing saffron for generations. Rooted in years of expertise, each batch is grown in small quantities and harvested at peak potency and freshness, highlighting the seasonality of spice farming.
Use this single-origin Kashmiri saffron to add an electric golden hue and irreplaceable aromatic depth to traditional dishes like paella or tahdig, or to a creamy sauce to be served atop pasta or beans. It also plays really nicely with sweets like barfi and ice cream.
Committed to transparency, each jar comes labeled with its harvest date.
