Steamer Donabe in White
Steam meats, dumplings, fruits, or vegetables perfectly in Mushi Nabe. This specialty donabe heats up quickly and evenly, utilizing far-infrared heat for uniquely well-prepared, full flavor meals.
The porous nature of the Iga-sourced clay allows it to retain heat long after being removed from flame, making it suitable for serving at the table, where it makes for a beautiful presentation as well as a convenient serving bowl. The same insulating properties make it just as useful for keeping foods cold, as well, and can be used to serve foods such as sashimi or fruit salad.
Mushi Nabe also functions as an all-purpose donabe - simply remove the steamer plate to adapt it for other functions including stewing or braising.
Specifically for use on gas stovetops, over an open flame, or in an oven up to 500°F (without steamer plate). Cannot be used on electric stovetops. Comes with tongs for easy removal of hot steamer plate. Pair with a Windmill Palm or Rush Trivet to protect your table from heat when serving direct from the stove or oven.
