Tapered Maple Rolling Pin in Iron Black
The tapered shape of this French-style rolling pin gives precise control of the thickness of dough while it's being rolled. This lightweight design allows for easy manipulation of pie crusts, chapati, and other large sheets of dough where you need to dial in the density just right.
Naturally dyed with iron for a rich black color and non-toxic seal. Though designed to last, all good things must eventually come to an end. If you live to see your rolling pin's final days, please compost.
Blackcreek Mercantile's Blackline Collection utilizes exclusively sustainably harvested domestic hardwoods which are then hand-carved into sleek, subtly exaggerated shapes and dyed with a natural reactive process using iron.
Materials: Maple (Acer) wood naturally dyed with iron, linseed oil finish.
Made in upstate New York.
Measures 17" long.
*Due to the reactive nature of iron, contact with highly acidic foods will alter the color of this object. If you want to keep it black, keep it away from foods like citrus. However, a change in color will not damage the rolling pin's functionality in any way.
