Single Origin Chocolate, 70% - Gola Rainforest, Sierra Leone
This bar is the quintessential chocolate perfectly captured. The terroir of Sierra Leone's Gola Rainforest lends all the classic fudgy, brown butter, cookie dough-type flavors so many of us look for in a good dark chocolate bar.
The beans in this bar come from a series of communities along the edge of the rainforest participating in the Gola Rainforest Cocoa Project, a project dedicated to producing high-quality cacao while integrating essential rainforest conservation practices and improving the livelihoods of the people in the region. Each batch of beans is fermented and dried by the farmers that grew them using banana leaf-lined baskets.
All of Dandelion's single-origin chocolates are purposefully cacao-forward, and as such contain no added cocoa butter, lecithin, or vanilla for flavor. All are free of soy, dairy, eggs, and gluten, and are produced in a nut-free factory.
Not just for eating, these bars are also ideal for making hot chocolate, brownies, cookies, and more.
