Dandelion Chocolate

Single Origin Chocolate, 85% - Maya Mountain, Belize

Not for the faint of heart, this bar highlights some of the more wild flavors cacao can take on – olive and buttermilk – as well as some more familiar flavors like tropical fruits and honey.

These beans come from Maya Mountain Cacao, a social enterprise in southern Belize that buys fresh, unfermented cacao beans from hundreds of indigenous Maya smallholder cacao producers and then gathers them in a single fermentary for processing, allowing them better control over quality and consistency, and therefore provide the farmers better wages for their work.

All of Dandelion's single-origin chocolates are purposefully cacao-forward, and as such contain no added cocoa butter, lecithin, or vanilla for flavor. All are free of soy, dairy, eggs, and gluten, and are produced in a nut-free factory.

Also available in our selection: Gola Rainforest, 70% and Hacienda Azul, 70%.
