An inspired take on the traditional Sichuan chili sauce, Jing utilizes the prized Gonjiao tribute peppers (not a pepper at all, but a member of the citrus family) and dou chi – a fermented black soybean product with a history longer than soy sauce. These two heirloom flavors are the heart of the chili sauce, creating the perfect natural umami condiment with a bite.
