Designed primarily to be used in the kitchen, these plastic-free Climate Beneficial™* sheep's wool sponges can also be used on bathroom countertops or on the skin. Delicate enough to use on glass and fine china without scratching, but sturdy enough to scrub stubborn grit off cast iron pans.

These make a fantastic and sustainable alternative to synthetic dish sponges and even natural sea sponges, as wool is both more abundant and easily harvested. Wool is also naturally antimicrobial and antifungal, and as such will not easily harbor bacteria or develop an odor. Depending on the amount of usage, these sponges can last for years (though it's recommended to replace them every 3-6 months if used heavily), and then at the end of their life are fully compostable.

Care instructions: Rinse with warm water, squeeze out, and lay flat to dry. Putting these out in the sun for a bit every once in a while will naturally sanitize them.

Sold in packs of 2.

Also available in Two-Tone Gray/Cream.

Based in the Northern California Fibershed, Full Circle Wool is a woman-owned business producing a variety of home goods from locally sourced Climate Beneficial wool – supporting small farmers, supporting carbon farming practices from rotational grazing management to cover cropping and compost application, and keeping the local fiber and textile supply chain alive.

Made by hand in Northern California with local wool.

*Climate Beneficial™ is a trademarked verification by Fibershed, a 501c3 non-profit, confirming that the fiber is grown on a farm or ranch operating under, and actively implementing, a Carbon Farm Plan. These plans are specific documents created between the farm or ranch and a third-party biologist, usually through a local Resource Conservation District (RCD) or Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) office. The plans identify and quantify on-farm practices that sequester carbon out of the atmosphere, thus giving real data on climate change amelioration associated with verified fiber products.

• Undyed Climate Beneficial™ sheep's wool
