Diaspora Co.

Single Origin Makhir Ginger

Wildly potent and intensely aromatic, this organic ginger powder comes from a tiny heirloom variety called Ing Makhir. It boasts an incredible bouquet of lemongrass, caramel, and lavender.

Fully traceable, Diaspora's ginger is organically grown by a small group of farmers in the Jaintia hills alongside turmeric and black sesame. Rooted in years of expertise, each batch is grown in small quantities and harvested at peak potency and freshness, highlighting the seasonality of spice farming.

Use this single origin Makhir ginger to make the best batch of gingerbread cookies you've ever had, a spicy cup of ginger lemonade, or a soul-satisfying bowl of adrakhi murgh – Indian ginger chicken curry.

Committed to transparency, each jar comes labeled with its harvest date.
